Rock Honduras Spring Break Trip 2012 [Through Photos]

A group of 20 people, mostly college students, from The Rock Church in Columbia, Missouri traveled two thousand miles south to help serve alongside its sister church in Choluteca, Honduras. While I could sit here and write a thought-provoking post about our trip, what we accomplished and what God taught us during our journey, I thought it better to start with a picture post. From my first trip to Choluteca, looking into the eyes of a girl who broke my heart for God's people.

You know that famous line by Gavin DeGraw, “I don’t wanna get too close?”

That is exactly the opposite of what I aspire with the people I encounter and befriend. I aspire for intimacy. I aspire for honestly. I aspire for accountability.

I don’t go halfway. There’s no such thing as ‘too personal.’ I rarely hide my true feelings on an issue if they are inquired about. Continue reading
